Matt is a Project Manager in our Roofing Department with over 15 years of experience. He also oversees purchases of roofing inventory and tools. Matt’s areas of expertise include roof maintenance and leak repair as well as re-roof projects like complete or partial tear-offs, overlay of existing roof systems and retrofit of existing metal roof systems.

Matt is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Communications.  When hired by East Muskegon, Matt wanted to learn the roofing industry from the ground up.  His first year, he worked on field crews which created an opportunity for him to learn roofing with a hands-on experience.  He also has training in project management, quality and roof asset management.  He completed MIOSHA 10-hour certification and Firestone Building Products Contractor Quality Training Program.

In Matt’s personal time he gives back to the sport that was an avenue to so many opportunities to him as a youth.  Matt was a two-time All-American at the University of Michigan.  He is the current Head Varsity Wrestling Coach at Reeths-Puffer High School and has been coaching there since 2002.
